Truth about Photography

Photography to the amateur is recreation,
to the professional it is work, and hard work too,
no matter how pleasurable it my be.
Edward Weston said that, and I have to agree.

Photography is very pleasurable, but most of all it's work.

Images have to show YOUR point of view

I think you have to have a real point of view that's your own. You have to tell it your way. And, I think that it's a mistake to shoot for a specific magazine's point of view because it's never going to be as good.
You have to shoot for yourself and photograph the way you believe it.

A good photograph makes you feel, think and dream

Ever since I do photography Ansel Adams words:
"Simply look with perceptive eyes at the world about you, and trust to your own reactions and convictions. Ask yourself: "Does this subject move me to feel, think and dream? Can I visualize a print - my own personal statement of what I feel and want to convey - from the subject before me?"
are on my mind.
A photograph that doesn't make me feel, think and dream has no purpose.
