Monks chanting - Jing'an Temple Shanghai

Most of Buddha's followers try to be good while still living their normal lives, but some of his followers adopt the idea of getting away from the world so they can work full-time as monk or nun, being good and pure for a monthly salary.
Built between 220 and 280 AD, Jing'an Temple is one of the oldest temples in Shanghai, China. With its unmistakable bright yellow walls shining brightly on Shanghai's busiest road, Nanjing Xi Lu, Jing an si is a popular attraction where monks can often be seen chanting.
