Qibao Ancient Town - A peek into the past of Shanghai

Shanghai's very own water town, Qibao Ancient Town, only 18 kilometers from downtown Shanghai, was built in the Five Dynasties Period around 1000 years ago.
To truly enjoy the old-style Chinese-feel of Qi Bao, grab yourself a bag of Qibao's famous juqibao fangzheng gao (a steamed pastry made of glutinous rice with sweet bean paste, best eaten hot) for breakfast, and step into the tranquility of a boat ride down the canals during the early morning hours.
