Light Painting

Light Painting is a photographic technique where a very slow shutter speed (1 sec.+) is used in conjunction with several mediums of light to produce surreal, random images. Light Painting is purely experimental and unique, with any number of possible outcomes. Digital cameras make the technique much easier than traditional film camera versions, due to the ability to instantly review the picture. Light sources can include strobe lights, flash lights, cigarette lighter flints, anything burning, and so on. The finished pictures can be manipulated in digital versions with great ease to produce stunning backgrounds.
