The Chinese national pavilion for the Shanghai Expo 2010, was designed with the concept of "Oriental Crown", a distinctive roof, standing 63 meters in height, made of traditional dougong brackets, which has a history dating back more than 2,000 years. Its main color is "Gugong (Forbidden City) Red" which represents the taste and spirit of Chinese culture.
The "Crown of the Orient" is a complex structure that celebrates a diverse range of traditional Chinese elements, including architecture, calligraphy, gardening and urban planning. The China Pavilion shows how amazing and modern China has become.
